This specialist treatment uses gentle scar massage and soft tissue techniques to improve tissue mobility, reduce discomfort and support a more comfortable recovery.
Initial consultation: Prior to commencing treatment, an initial consultation is required to discuss your scar(s) in detail. A short hands-on session will follow to assess the scar and create an appropriate treatment plan.
Please note: This treatment is not ACC-funded.
Ideal for
Tight or restricted scars
Scar sensitivity
Breaking down psychological barriers and improving body confidence
Suitable from once your incision has fully healed; the skin has completely closed, with no open areas, scabs, bleeding, increased redness, warmth or swelling which could indicate an infection. Ladies with older scars are very welcome to have an initial consultation
Deep Tissue / Sports Massage
Whether you're training for an event, recovering after exercise or simply managing the physical demands of everyday life, deep tissue or sports massage can help reduce muscular tension, improve flexibility and support recovery.
These types of massages have a reputation for being painful, but making your muscles tense during massage is counterproductive! In order to achieve the right balance between an effective treatment and your comfort level, the pressure is adjusted throughout to meet your needs.

Reduces muscular aches and stiffness. Great for post-gym workouts and posture related discomfort
Sports Massage - More targeted to a specific muscle group or working around a joint
